Safety

The Honda Prologue has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags helps prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The Mustang Mach-E doesn’t offer a front passenger side knee airbag.

Both the Prologue and the Mustang Mach-E have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rear parking sensors, rear cross-path warning and available around view monitors.

Warranty

Honda pays for scheduled maintenance on the Prologue for 1 year or 12,000 miles. Honda will pay for tire rotations, cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance. Ford doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the Mustang Mach-E.

Reliability

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2023 Initial Quality Study of new car owners surveyed provide the statistics that show that Honda vehicles are better in initial quality than Ford vehicles. J.D. Tires and Wheels

For better traction, the Prologue has larger standard tires than the Mustang Mach-E (255/60R19 vs. 225/60R18). The Prologue Elite’s tires are larger than the largest tires available on the Mustang Mach-E (275/45R21 vs. 245/45R20).

Having a flat tire is dangerous, inconvenient and expensive. The self-sealing tires available on the Prologue can automatically seal most punctures up to 3/16 of an inch, effectively preventing most flat tires. The Mustang Mach-E doesn’t offer self-sealing tires.

Suspension and Handling

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Prologue’s wheelbase is 4.3 inches longer than on the Mustang Mach-E (121.8 inches vs. 117.5 inches).

For greater off-road capability the Prologue has a 2.3 inches greater minimum ground clearance than the Mustang Mach-E (8.1 vs. 5.8 inches), allowing the Prologue to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged.

The Prologue has .7 inches more front headroom, 2.2 inches more front hip room, 1.8 inches more front shoulder room, 1.3 inches more rear legroom, 1.2 inches more rear hip room and 1.7 inches more rear shoulder room than the Mustang Mach-E.

Cargo Capacity

A standard locking glovebox keeps your small valuables safer in the Prologue. The Mustang Mach-E doesn’t offer locking storage for small valuables.

Towing

The Prologue has a 1500 lbs. towing capacity. The Mustang Mach-E has no towing capacity.

Ergonomics

The Prologue Elite has a standard heads-up display that projects speed in front of the driver’s line of sight, allowing drivers to view information without diverting their eyes from the road. The Mustang Mach-E doesn’t offer a heads-up display.

Standard air-conditioned seats in the Prologue Elite keep the driver and front passenger comfortable and take the sting out of hot seats in Summer. The Mustang Mach-E doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats.

The Prologue Elite has a 115-volt a/c outlet on the center console, allowing you to recharge a laptop or run small household appliances without special adapters that can break or get misplaced. The Mustang Mach-E doesn’t offer a house-current electrical outlet.
